Department of System Analysis and Decision Making Theory (SADT) is the one of  eleven departments of Cybernetics Faculty (Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University).

Department of System Analysis and Decision Making Theory (SADT) was founded in 1988 as Department of the Automated Systems Theory.

Since 1998  our department has renamed as Department of System Analysis and Decision Making Theory (SADT)  by resolution of Scientific Council  of  Kiev University

First Head of the SADT was famous scientist Dr.Sci.(Tech.), Prof. V.L.Volkovich. From 1996 till present  Prof., Dr.Sci.(Phys.-Math.) A.G.Nakonechny is the Head.

Our department trains bachelors, magisters and Ph.D. in the field of system analysis, decision making theory and computer technologies in the main specialities: System Analysis, Systems and Methods of Decision Making, Applied Mathematics, Informatics.

At present there are four Full Professors, three Associate Professors and two Assistant Professors on the department: Head of department, Prof., Dr.Sci.(Phys.-Math.) Prof., Ph.D.(Phys.-Math.) G.Dolenko, Assoc. Prof., Ph.D.(Phys.-Math.) P.Zinko, Asist. Prof. S. Demydenko, Asist. Prof. M.Makhno.

The department includes the researching sector of Problems of System Analysis.
