Oleksandr NAKONECHNIY

Born in 1946.

Graduated the mathematical-mechanical faculty of the Kiev University in 1969, post- graduate of the Kiev University, Department of Theory Probability and Mathematical Statistics (1969-1972). PhD Kiev University (1973). Received Doctor of Science degree in Mathematical cybernetics, Kiev University (1981).

Full Professor since 1984.
Head of the Department of System Analysis and Decision Making Theory, Faculty of Cybernetics since 1996.

Reading lectures general "Decision Making Theory" and special courses Identification in Dynamic Systems, Stochastic Optimization. He leads some works in the next fields: software for identification of dynamic systems, inverse problem of acoustics, ecology, pattern recognition, decision making under fuzziness. Author of more than 200 papers and 5 books. 16 scientists under his scientific leadership receiverd PhD in Applications of Mathematics.

Scientific interests:
problems of decision making under uncertainties, minimax method of estimation, problems of optimization.
